Course Description

This course is a deep dive into the algebraic concepts which can be understood with just a Pre-Algebra background (prerequisite knowledge: decimals, fractions, and percents). These concepts form the majority of the early problems on MATHCOUNTS and AMC 8.

  • 8 weeks, from Tue Jul 5, 2022 to Sun Aug 28, 2022
  • Tue, Thu, and Sun (skipping every other Thu), 9–10pm ET


The best way to get used to thinking mathematically is to play with math every day. This course runs over 8 weeks, meeting for an hour 2–3 times per week. Before every 5th live session, students work on a challenging homework set, which is discussed in that session.
